Forget all the Rest! Oscar’s Best

It’s over. The awards season came to an end last night as the Academy Awards took place. Everyone and their mother has a best dressed list, but mine is RIGHT.

No. 5: Shailene Woodley

Known best for her portrayal of Amy Jurgens on the ABC Family show “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” the girl has a lot of haters. Namely those who find the show melodramatic with less-than-stellar acting. But in 2011, Woodley showed Hollywood that she is indeed a real actor with her portrayal of George Clooney’s daughter in The Descendants. Though some will inevitably hate her white, Valentino dress “too old” for her, I liked it and thought she looked sophisticated with a vintage flair.

Love it!

No. 4: Glenn Close in Zac Posen

 No. 3: Michelle Williams

First, let me say — I have a love/hate relationship with this dress. On the one hand, it is way too busy. If it’s going to have the peplum, why have the tiers go all the way down as well? However, I love Michelle Williams’s style in general and commend her for being one of the few to not wear black or white.

 No. 2: Jennifer Lopez

Say what you want, the girl’s still got it.

No. 1: Octavia Spencer

Not only was her reaction to winning just grand, she’s looked fabulous all awards season long. To me, she’s a perfect example of knowing your body and understanding how to utilize under garments. Plus, her face and hair are always perfection as well, she focuses on the total look and I love that.

My No. 1 pick! Octavia Spencer
