Put Some Spring In Your Dress Wardrobe

It is not quite spring yet, but the lovely weather is already making me lust over new pieces I want to add to my wardrobe. What I always want more of during the warmer months is dresses. Casual ones, cutesy garden party ones, you name it, I want it. My favorite places to dress shop are ASOS, Nordstrom, Talbots and Dress Barn. Yes! Dress Barn. Of course, when I want a bargain I check out Marshall’s and Target.

Here are the dresses that have me contemplating purchases right now. On trend this season are florals, prints, color blocking, and slim silhouettes. Also on tap are dresses with a touch of whimsy in the form of peplum skirts, sheer overlays, stripes, and flower and bow accents.

ASOS Curve butterfly print dress

How cute is this? I love ASOS Curve because it provides plus sized women with on-trend options at reasonable prices. This dress’ bold print screams springtime and the sheer panel adds a bit of sexy so it does not read as too youthful.

Vince Camuto Colorblock Grecian Pleat Dress

Please do not be afraid of color blocking. If you are though, start with this dress. Instead of using massive blocks of color, the designer uses clean lines and utilizes a Grecian drape effect that is flattering on most bodies.

Graceful Greenery Dress

This is my pick for a summer day wedding or a day out with your sweetie. How cute is this dress? And like all great dresses, it could be dressed up or down. You could throw flip-flops on with it or put on some stilettos. ModCloth is one of my favorite sites to peruse for dresses.
