Product Review: Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Intense Moisturizing Treatment

I decided recently that my hair needed some intense moisture, some shine. I don’t have a problem with dry hair or lack of shine, so basically just wanted to try a hair mask or deep conditioner. In my search I came across a lot of masks and hair treatments, but in my quest not to spend an arm and a leg on something I didn’t really need, I decided to check out what my neighborhood Walgreen’s had to offer.

I decided to try Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Intense Moisturizing Treatment. This was my first time trying a Organix product, though I have been curious for a while. Who wouldn’t want to know what goodness those cute, chubby little containers hold?

I left the product on my hair for four or five minutes after washing. For enhanced results put a shower cap on and sit under a hooded dryer for a while or just leave it on longer. However, I don’t own a hooded dryer so that was impossible. I will leave it on longer though when I have more time. The results without the cap were excellent though. I did not notice any difference immediately, but as the weekend progressed¬†I discovered my hair was indeed easier to detangle after wearing it curly. I washed my hair on Friday and combed it out on Sunday. It took me like five minutes to do so. Amazing!

Like all products, this one recommends using with the other products in the line. I did not and it still did its job.

The treatment is definitely not something you’d use every day as a conditioner (your hair just doesn’t need it), but it is a great deep conditioner and mask. I especially liked it since I’d just taken twists out of my natural hair and thought my head needed to be refreshed. Mission accomplished.

Bottom line, I will continue to use and would probably buy the product again. At $8 a pop, it is a good deal, considering you only need to use a little periodically. One container will last for a long time.
