Remember when R&B music was good back in the 90s and early 2000s? I do. It had everyone wanting to fall in love. What made it so great? First off, the music was personal and not so generic. You could find a song to fit every mood from breakup to makeup. Second, they weren’t always singing about one-night stands and how big butts were, there was at least some substance. In one day I’m going to see Jagged Edge and Jon B. in concert. So excited.
In the meantime, here’s some music to get you through the day and possibly conjure up a memory or two that brings a smile to your face.
Jodeci — Cry For You
Hi-Five — She’s Playing Hard to Get
Tevin Campbell — Can We Talk
Rome — I Belong to You
Shai — Come With Me
Kenny Lattimore — Days Like This
