Wash and Go Tracker: Day 1

I am working on some product reviews, but for this week I want to do something different here at Hair Say. I am going to track my wash-and-go throughout the week. Today is Monday, August 20, and this is day one.

Wash-and-go day one. This picture was taken about 3 hours after washing, conditioning, and applying leave-in.

One question everyone has is how to make a wash-and-go last. I’m still perfecting it myself, though I’ve been doing them since middle school. So I decided to document my wash-and-go for a week. You’ll see the ups and downs of it on here, so hold on!

Today I washed my hair with the last of the Mixed Chicks shampoo I needed to use up and conditioned with Dark and Lovely Healthy Gloss 5 Moisture Conditioner.

I then combed through my wet hair and applied Mixed Chicks leave-in conditioner throughout. I combed through again once I was finished applying the leave-in. And that’s it. I am letting it dry naturally, no diffuser or heat. While my hair is drying I DO NOT touch it at all. There is very little volume as it dries naturally, but the curls will be defined. I always work on the volume the second day, unless I’m going out later on the first day. Then I’d stretch the curls when I was getting ready to go out.

My attempt to take a picture of the back.

You have no idea how much you’re helping me. I’m still nervous about my god-daughter’s upcoming wedding, but I’m planning to hang in there. If nothing else I’ll wear a wig (smile).

I am glad to hear it! And yeah, a wig is always an option. We need to take a trip to this hair supply store in Alexandria that sells EVERYTHING! 🙂
