Conditioner is my saving grace and I decided a while ago that I needed something more potent. Something rich, thick, you get it.
In steps Carol’s Daughter Tui Moisturizing Hair Smoothie. My hair soaks up moisture, as does most curly hair, and is in need of constant hydration. The solution is not to let the curls dry out. I used to be of the mindset that I did not need to deep condition too often. But then I realized the benefits of it and began doing it more frequently. Now I try to deep condition at least once a month.
To deep condition with the hair smoothie, I simply apply it in sections end to roots. I then just let it set for 5 – 10 minutes. I do not sit under a hooded dryer.
As with all of Carol’s Daughter Tui products, the smoothie smells really nice. The consistency of it is definitely smooth and it basically feels like a nice lotion in your hand. So at $20 a pop, is it worth it?
For now, I’d say yes. I can definitely feel the difference after deep conditioning. More so than with my old deep conditioner. What’s great is it is marketed to those with dry and damaged hair, so if it works on mine to increase shine and moisture as well as to restore damaged hair, it is a versatile product many people can use.
