Ratliff Events Brings Style … Evolutionized

Style Evolutionized. To evolve is to develop or change gradually from one state to another. The ongoing struggle within women to evolve is a grand one. Being on the other side of such an evolution and looking back at the girl or woman you once was is more than downright groundbreaking.

Maryland-based Ratliff Events wants to help women achieve this in every way, one event at a time. Ratliff Events and Lifestyle Experts is the brainchild of Kristus Ratliff, a beautiful lady with some very fierce hair. The women at Ratliff Events and Lifestyle Experts tout themselves as “real women helping real women.”

On Saturday, June 8, Ratliff teamed up with stylist Shelby Cheri to present Style Evolutionized, a truly unique fashion show in which the models were real women wearing their own clothes. Here is how the concept and event worked. Cheri went into each model’s closet and styled an outfit out of items she found there. No need for anything new, make do with what you have. These women had some great items.

The show was presented in two parts. The first half showcased an outfit styled for summer and the second half took an element of that outfit and transformed it so that it could work for fall too.

Further setting it apart from your average fashion show was the diversity of the models. They were short, tall, all different hues of the rainbow, and all different shapes. There was even a model that was seven months pregnant.

Below are some of the outfits and excellent models.

A striped dress styled for the summer. Cheri said she likes to use multiple belts. I hadn't thought of this before, but it worked with this dress.
