My Favorite Products of 2014 So Far

I vow quarterly to not buy ANY new products until I finish using the ones I have. Such vows are always broken. Halfway through 2014 I am able to crown some products I’ve tried this year as new favorites.

I sing praises unto these products and I’m sure you yourself, or someone you know, does too … or eventually will.

The first is Camille Rose Naturals Curl Love Moisture Milk. Everyone I’ve ever talked to – regardless of hair texture or curl pattern – loves this product. Once I tried it myself it was easy to see why. I still love my Miss Jessie’s Curly ButterCreme, but at $32 for 8 ounces, it is a tad expensive. The Camille Rose moisture milk is $15 for 8 ounces and works well with any other products I use. I do not use Camille Rose shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, or any other styling products and the product works with the rest of my arsenal. Miss Jessie’s definitely works with other products but the results are superior when I use with other Miss Jessie’s products. Also, the hair milk smells great and leaves my hair moisturized without causing tangles or buildup. I’m a huge fan of this product and it has earned a permanent spot in my hair product basket.

Second is (drumroll please) Karen’s Body Beautiful Hair Blossom Moisture Mist. I already wrote a review of this, so I will not go on and on about it in this post. But I will say that I get so many compliments on the smell of this and it keeps my hair super soft. You can read my full review here.

Last but not least is the only Shea Moisture product I have ever tried, the Coconut & Hibiscus Hold & Shine Moisture Mist. I initially used this for setting my hair on Curlformers as I had seen in a YouTube tutorial. It did work for setting, but I will also use to seal hair and just spray on after washing sometimes now. It will probably not be a “must have” for me, but it is a quality product and if your hair regimen calls for a moisturizer in this form as opposed to a milk or cream, this is probably your best bet.
