Humidifier Help

If you’ve noticed that during the winter months your hair, as well as lips and skin, seems to dry out you are not alone. The dryness of winter is real. The reason for this is that there is less moisture in the atmosphere in the colder months. As a result, you may suffer. However, investing in a humidifier could help all of this.

Humidifiers put additional moisture in the air, helping to combat the added dryness of winter. I bought one a year ago and it really does work. My skin is noticeably retaining moisture better since I bought it and it has helped my hair tremendously this winter. I usually place mine in the bedroom and usually close the door when I sleep with it on. For added moisture you could do a moisturizing treatment at night, but I do not find that necessary. The humidifier alone is a great help.

When using a humidifier be sure to clean and disinfect it regularly! Where there is moisture there is always the possibility for bacteria to grow. I usually clean mine after each use, i.e. each time after the water runs out.

The humidifier I use is the Crane Cool Mist Humidifier that I purchased from Target. It retails for $37.99.

My humidifier of choice. I'm pretty sure it was created for a child's room, but I thought it was cute and it does the job.

A sleeker option is the Crane tear drop humidifier which you can also get from Target. This one retails for around $45.
