I celebrated my birthday on January 29 and turned 31. Unlike turning 30, I had no fear for this birthday and it was a great one. It is freezing in the DMV so I have to thank all of the people who braved the cold to help me celebrate. Especially my boyfriend, who took me to BlackSalt for my birthday/anniversary dinner. The place is unique in that the front of it is a fish market and the restaurant is in the back. I had swordfish and he had grouper. Both of our entrees were cooked well, but the chocolate peanut butter crunch cake that we shared for dessert was what really stood out.
